The Hellenic Coast Guard (HCG) Aviation Department operates 13 aerial assets to patrol Greek maritime borders, enforce laws, and support search and rescue operations. The fleet consists of seven fixed-wing aircraft and six helicopters .The helicopter fleet provides rapid-response capabilities for medical evacuations, search and rescue (SAR), and border surveillance. The fixed wing fleet focuses on long-range maritime patrol, pollution monitoring, and illegal immigration detection.
